Zachary McQuirt, PE
Project Engineer
Mr. McQuirt is a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive professional experience in environmental site assessment and remediation, having worked on over 210 sites within the Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP).
Mr. McQuirt spent nine years in the United States Navy in the special operations community as an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician, leading over 150 EOD combat missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom and providing direct support to civilian law enforcement as well as federal agencies including the Secret Service and the State Department. The skills acquired during his time in the Navy allowed for a seamless transition into the engineering field.
Mr. McQuirt supervises, directs, and reviews all engineering design plans, research, and assessment of applicable site-specific engineering technologies, development of engineering design strategies from field-collected data, and evaluation of project safety, quality, and performance requirements. Mr. McQuirt oversees and analyzes compliance of design specifications during remediation technology testing, construction, and implementation of remediation engineering projects, directs optimization of system operational efficiency using real-time field data and groundwater sampling analytical results, and evaluates technical reports for quality, accuracy, and compliance with contract requirements and applicable regulations and policies.
