ERMI is a turnkey environmental services firm specializing in environmental assessment, remediation and forensic consulting based in Fort Myers, Florida. We are a licensed engineering, asbestos, and geology firm, a FDEP Agency Term Contractor in the Petroleum Restoration Program and a site remediation contractor. Our clients include contractors, developers, banks, realtors, owners, engineers, state and local governments.
A field technician would be responsible for:
- Sampling soil and groundwater
- Calibration and maintenance of field equipment
- Maintaining OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Conducting field, regulatory, and office research
- Knowledge of FDEP & ASTM SOPs
- Maintaining a general understanding of applicable environmental regulations
- Oversight of contracted field activities (drilling, remediation system construction, excavation, etc.)
- Operation and maintenance of remediation systems
- Some field tasks involve physical labor, including heavy lifting of equipment or supplies, operating a core drill, hand-augering, and related physical tasks in various temperatures and weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Environmental Due Diligence Project Manager

(ERMI) is currently seeking a full-time project manager for environmental due diligence services including, but not limited to: Phase I/II ESAs, and asbestos, mold, lead-based paint, and wetlands surveys. Minimum of five years’ experience and knowledge of applicable Florida regulations required. Marketing skills and business development experience preferred.

A project manager is responsible for:
- Project coordination of ERMI staff and resources, vendors, site owners and regulatory officials. Responsible to select and manage appropriate subcontractors required by the scope of work.
- Knowledge of the applicable rules, regulations, guidelines, standards, SOPs, and other technical references that form the basis of the project.
- Define scope of work, develop an accurate project cost estimate, and ensure projects are on-time and under budget with work performance consistent with the industry standard of care.
- Preparing or reviewing proposals, reports, invoices, communication records and keeping orderly project folders. Responsible for the report content accuracy, thoroughness, regulatory and client approval, and demonstration of project objectives.
- Field work and support, including sample collection, project oversight, site visits, and on-site meetings.
- The position requires good verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, willingness to take initiative, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Accounting Supervisor
Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing and carrying out daily and periodic accounting and administrative tasks for the company with accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness.
Reporting
The position reports to the CFO/controller of ERMI.
Position Status
This position is considered an exempt, full-time position for purposes of federal wage-hour law.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1) Oversee transaction processing and related activities in accounts payable, accounts receivable, project/job administration, job costing, customer billings, and fixed assets.
2) Responsible for ensuring the approval and accurate coding of all invoices, expense reports, and other transactions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
3) Supervise accounting/administrative staff.
4) Perform timely and accurate reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
5) Record customer invoices and carry out procedures in support of timely and accurate customer billings.
6) Responsible for monitoring accounts receivable balances, overseeing and conducting professional and effective collection communications with customers, identifying collection
concerns, and communicating status to CFO/controller.
7) Responsible for maintaining the company’s fixed asset schedule and maintaining accurate inventories of company property.
8) Ensure the timely and accurate filing of business tangible property tax returns.
9) Record journal entries as assigned and approved by CFO/controller.
10) Assist CFO/controller with financial statements, KPIs, and other management reporting.
11) Administer ERMI’s information systems and applications, including ERMI’s accounting software and project management software.
12) Process bi-weekly payroll and perform all related activities, including reviewing weekly timesheets, providing necessary information to PEO, reconciling/verifying all areas of payroll processing to ensure accuracy, maintaining records, and onboarding and assisting employees, as necessary.
13) Oversee, assist, and provide executive support, as necessary, in other administrative areas of the company, including company files & records, office management, office equipment, cellular phones, company credit cards, property & casualty insurance, and HR onboarding.
14) Supervise company records in compliance with best practices and company policy/records retention schedule.
15) Responsible for gathering information needed for insurance policy renewals, providing certificates of insurance, and providing other administrative support, as necessary.
16) Assist CFO/controller and executives with financial planning (annual budget) and other initiatives in support of ERMI’s growth and continuous improvement of people, processes, and systems.
17) Provide backup to accounting/administrative staff.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting and administrative experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Systems administration experience.
• Previous experience with engineering, construction, or environmental services firm would be a bonus.
