President

Founder and president of ERMI, is a former two-term president of the Florida Environmental Assessors Association, and has served as Environmental Committee Chairman for the Florida Petroleum Marketers Association and Florida Retail Federation. He was a founder of the ASTM Subcommittee E50.06 on Environmental Forensics, and he is a member of the Florida Groundwater Association and Florida Brownfields Association. Steve graduated from Geneseo State University of NY and the University of Florida with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Environmental Studies.

Barry Murphree, PG

Principal Geologist

Mr. Murphree is a licensed Professional Geologist with more than 12 years of professional experience in environmental site assessment and remedial investigation. Mr. Murphree graduated from University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology. Work completed under Mr. Murphree’s direct supervision in his 7 years as a Florida-licensed professional Geologist has included a full range of soil and groundwater assessment and remediation.

Mr. Murphree’s remediation experience includes the following multiple remediation strategies: soil excavation, AS/SVE, biosparging, MPE, bioremediation, chemical oxidation, hydraulic containment, free product recovery and treatment, and NAM. Mr. Murphree has also presented soil and water quality data collected during active remediation in O&M Reports and used data to evaluate the progress of site cleanup. He has used these data to optimize system operating parameters and maximize remediation efficiencies and effectiveness, thereby decreasing cleanup timeframes and costs.

His corporate responsibilities at ERMI include: technical supervision, project oversight, project management, upper level technical report writing, remedial design, report review, data interpretation, client communications, scheduling and management of personnel, mapping, field sampling/oversight, contracting, training, business development, and marketing.

Tim Terwilliger, ME, PE

Principal Engineer

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Terwilliger has been involved with all aspects of various projects, from performing various sampling protocols to planning, budgeting, reporting and project management. Mr. Terwilliger’s experience includes model development, regulatory compliance, due diligence, assessment and remediation of contaminated sites. He has managed the regulatory compliance of more than 15 sites in South Carolina and currently manages approximately 20 projects in Florida.With more than 400 signed and sealed documents under Mr. Terwilliger’s direct supervision in his 17 years as a Florida-licensed professional engineer, his design and oversight experience has included the full spectrum of assessment and remediation requirements, including remedial action plans, modification designs, excavation and system construction oversight, natural attenuation monitoring plans and no further action (NFA) requests. With this breadth of experience, he has achieved NFA status for more than 100 contamination releases.His responsibilities at ERMI include: Project management, upper level technical report writing, remedial design, report review, data interpretation, client communications, scheduling and management of personnel, contracting, and training.

Mrs. Campbell has over 10 years of environmental experience in Florida and has managed multiple environmental contracts and programs. As a member of Florida Environmental Assessors Association (FEAA), Florida Brownfield Association, and Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP), Mrs. Campbell has continued her education throughout her career. Mrs. Campbell graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies in 2007.Mrs. Campbells experience includes an emphasis of risk and contamination assessments both in private and public sectors. Project Manager

As an Environmental Scientist, Mr. James Lawson has more than 7 years of experience providing environmental due diligence consulting and industrial hygiene services including Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), asbestos containing material surveys, asbestos abatement planning and reporting, indoor air quality/mold assessments, lead paint surveys, mold remediation, contaminated site assessment, employee exposure monitoring, and health and safety focused facility audits. Consulting experience includes, conducting environmental assessments, groundwater and soil sampling, air quality and mold investigations, moisture mapping, mold remediation oversight, health and safety facility audits, project management, and technical report compositions.
